Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (Basic)

Program Description

The basic nurse assistant training program prepares student for employment as a nurse assistant in various health care agencies. It is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health and satisfactory completion of the program leads to eligibility to take the State Competency Written Evaluation for certification. Certification is required for employment. The primary aim of this program is to prepare students for immediate employment. However, opportunities exist to include this course in a bachelor's degree.
