Historically Black Colleges and Universities Fair

Elgin Community College partners with other community colleges to provide an online college fair to offer a chance to hear about the opportunities provided to transfer students at an HBCU. To learn more about HBCUs, visit the Historically Black Colleges and universities website.

According to an ongoing Gallup-Purdue University study, graduates of HBCUs, “Black graduates of historically black colleges and universities are significantly more likely to have felt supported while in college and to be thriving afterward than are their black peers who graduated from predominantly white institutions.” Source: the HBCU website.
