What to Support

Thank you for believing in me. For putting your faith in me.

Edy Molina, scholarship recipient

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, hundreds of students have been positively impacted through the gift of education. The ECC Foundation provides a number of pathways through which you can support ECC students and programs, including:

Resources for Excellence Annual Fund

Your unrestricted gift to the annual fund supports the areas of greatest need, including emergency assistance for students and mini-grants for innovative projects. Emergency assistance provided special equipment for a disabled student, replaced textbooks lost in a house fire, covered fees for proficiency and licensure exams for GED® and new nursing graduates who would not have otherwise been able to afford them, and more. Mini-grants have been used to launch a free dental clinic led by area dentists and staffed by students to serve under and uninsured students, underwrite student leadership development, create dialogue around diversity, support study abroad opportunities for culinary students, and more.

You can donate to an existing scholarship, or for as little as $3,000, you can create a named scholarship. Over 175 named scholarships provide support for students on an annual basis, including the ECC Foundation General Scholarship Fund. More than half of these funds are endowed, ensuring permanent funding in the donor’s name to qualifying students. Due to drastic reductions to and the elimination of some need-based government education grants for students, scholarship support is more important now than ever. Our 8,000+ students need your help to continue their education.

Program Funds

Your gift can be designated to an academic program fund to support areas such as the acquisition of updated or new equipment essential to the curriculum, student participation in professional conferences, and experiential learning opportunities. Additionally, you can support other designated funds such as the Spartan Food Pantry, Student Emergency Fund, Renner Library and Resources Fund, and Project Backpack.
