Season Outlook
This year's team is loaded with both height and talent. There is a certain "swagger" that this team has that is not cocky, just sure of what they can do and accomplish. The offense is quick and strong, and the defense is relentless and tenacious. We should get a lot of blocks at the net with an average increase of five inches in height over last year's squad. This year's team includes three returning sophomores; captain and defensive specialist Jessica Philips (Genoa - Kingston), right side hitter Amanda Schwartz (Elgin) and libero Joanne Jastrowski (Dundee Crown). The incoming freshmen are middle hitter and captain Maxine Andren (Streamwood), middle hitter Isadora Borrero (Larkin), left side hitter Jessica Harris (Larkin ), left side hitter Claire Sherman (Larkin), setter Adriana Salgado (Streamwood) and defensive specialist Elisa Santori (Lincoln Way). Look for this team to be both successful and entertaining this year. It will be fun and exciting!
