July 6, 2009 - Elgin Community College Softball Team Announces 2010 Recruits - All-State stand out pitcher from Burlington Central High School, Mackenzie Scott, tops off the list of area recruits committing to the Elgin Community College Softball program. Other top players include South Elgin High School pitcher Diana Besser, St. Charles North catcher Nina Barrutia and outfielder Shelly Crerar, Dundee Crown catcher Dayna Schultz, and Jacobs utility player Riki Ernst. The 2009 Spartans are looking for sophomore leadership. With seven returning players on the roster, this year’s squad will rely heavily on the second year players to step up on and off of the field. You can never have too many leaders and hungry players. More»
