Rick is also part of the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) coaching education staff, is the head coach for one of the state’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) teams and is one of the Directors of Coaching for the local club he coaches.
Rick played on the Elgin Community College men’s team in 2013 and is continuing his education at ECC. While pursuing his Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, Rick made the Dean’s list with a 4.0 GPA.
Rick stated that some of his thoughts and philosophies are, “our top priorities for the Women’s Soccer program are to graduate all of our players and create an environment that makes their time at ECC a great experience. I look forward to teaching our players what kind of work ethic, discipline and dedication it takes to accomplish their goals!”
Outside of school and soccer, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. An avid runner, Rick has completed seven marathons in the past eight years. “Having the support of my family continues to help me reach all my life goals,” Rick said. “I’ve been extremely blessed to have been, and continue to be, around a lot of amazing people in my life. I’m honored to be a part of the ECC Athletic Department staff, and I’ll strive to create the environment that helps our players reach their goals, both on and off the pitch!”
