Love Your Body Day

When: Wednesday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Hallway, Building B

Create your own t-shirt and compact mirror to reflect your sense of value and beauty as a woman - honoring self-confidence, self-esteem and appreciation for your body as a woman. Wear your t-shirt any day in March to demonstrate your commitment to positive self-image and solidarity as women. Keep the mirror with you to remind yourself of your beauty and strength!

An Immigrant Woman Roundtable

When: Thursday, March 9 at from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Community Room, Building B, Room B181

This roundtable gathers women immigrants from ECC and the community, to tell their stories coming to the United States, struggles they faced, and hopes that helped them to endure.

Soup & Stories

Suffragist Alice Paul was the most dynamic leader in the fight to win votes for American women. An innovative and tireless worker, Paul arranged spectacular parades, organized the first picketing demonstrations ever held outside the White House, lobbied politicians, and endured imprisonment for women’s suffrage. Feminism 101

What is feminism and how does it relate to you? Learn about the history of the feminist movement, its modern day relevance, and how it intersects with various identities and social justice movements.

Women overcoming obstacles to become successful and raising the bar as a minority. Come hear ECC’s very own Toya Webb, Executive Director of Communications and Terri Martin, Associate Math Professor, share their story of how they succeeded and raised the bar.

Inspiring Women's Tea
