Book Referral Services
Students may advertise their textbook needs on a bulletin board reserved especially for buying, selling, and trading books by completing a form available outside the Student Government Office, Building B, Room B173.
Bulletin Board Posting
Bulletin boards are located throughout campus. Check them frequently for the latest information on campus activities, items for sale, jobs, child care, rental properties, and community events.
Elgin PACE bus schedules are available in the Student Life Office and on the Building B information rack.
A lawyer comes to campus twice a month to answer questions related to legal matters and career opportunities in law. These services are free of charge to currently enrolled students. See the student planner and calendar publication for dates and times.
Student Identification Card
Your ECC student ID card is your key to accessing services at the library, the bookstore, the fitness center and more. Use it off-campus or online to take advantage of student discounts available through many retailers. ID photos are scheduled the first few weeks of each semester. Watch for posters and announcements of exact dates. You will be expected to bring your student ID number with you for a photo. No ID number, no photo. For more information about IDs, check with the Student Life Office in Bluilding B, Room B173 or at First Stop in Building A, Room A100.
Student Insurance Information
Pick up brochures, applications forms, and claim forms for the student accident and sickness insurance plan at the Student Life Office or download now.
Keep up on news, favorite soaps, talk shows and movies between classes Monday through Friday on televisions located in the Jobe Lounge, Building B.
