New College Student - Apply

First-time students of any age who plan to attend ECC and have attended no other college.

Pursuing Degree/Certificate Program

Students who plan to complete an ECC associate degree or certificate program as well as students planning to transfer ECC credits to another college/university must complete the following steps:

  1. a) Complete an application for admission. Apply online | Download form 
    b) Apply for financial aid and scholarships. More»
  2. Submit your high school transcript to the admissions office, SRC 129, main campus
  3. Demonstrate you have met ECC's minimum competency requirements for writing, reading and math. To determine which requirements you must meet, view program specific checklist
    • Submit ACT scores in English (20 or better ), Reading (18 or better), and Math (23 or better) or take ECC's placement test(s). More»
  4. Attend new student orientation to register for classes. Attendance is required. The Admissions Office will contact you with an assigned date when the above steps are completed. More»

Note: If ACT scores are not provided on high school transcript, submit ACT scores to the Admissions Office.

Enrolling in Classes (no degree/certificate)

Students who do not intend to complete a degree or certificate program at ECC must complete the following steps:

  1. a) Complete an application for admission. Apply online | Download form 
    b) Apply for financial aid and scholarships. More»
  2. Check the ECC online course catalog to see if the course(s) you plan to take has a prerequisite.
  3. If  a prerequisite is required, demonstrate you have met ECC's minimum competency requirements for writing, reading and math. To determine which requirements you must meet, view program specific checklist
    • Submit ACT scores in English (20 or better ), Reading (18 or better), and Math (23 or better) or take ECC's placement test(s). More»
