April 26, 2010 - At the Region IV Tournament, held at Moraine Valley Community College this past weekend, the Spartans finished sixth in a field of nine teams. ECC had the #6 Singles, # 1 Doubles and #2 Doubles flights each reach the semi-finals in the tournament. More»
Season Outlook
We are calling this season our 50/50 season. Three of our players are freshmen, and the other three are sophomores. The entire team is quite determined to represent Region IV at the national tournament in Texas. This is particular true of sophomores Jeff Splinter and captains Eric Meuangkhot and Shane Gabler. This year’s team is well balanced, and in the absence of specific knowledge of the other teams, the attitude and skills of this team should result in another successful year for ECC’s men’s tennis.
