SUB 205 Introduction to Group Processes

This course is designed to meet the needs of the student who will help others on a group basis. The major focus is on increasing communication at all age levels, interpersonal knowledge and leadership skills in an atmosphere that allows students to study themselves and their relationships with other people. The course is taught using the experiential approach which gives students the opportunity to experience the small group processes and theories being studied. Students are encouraged to examine their own value base, self-concept and interpersonal style, and the implication that these have in working with adults as well as children. (1.1) Proficiency Credit Not Available Pass/No Credit Not Available NOTE: This course is offered concurrently as EDN 205 and HUS 205. The student must decide whether to earn credits in Substance Abuse Counseling (SUB), Education (EDN) or Human Services (HUS) prior to enrolling.
