PSY 211 Educational Psychology
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in PSY 212 or PSY 213

This course concerns psychological principles underlying educational practice. Theories concerning cognitive and psychological development, human learning, and motivation are studied with emphasis on application for instruction, including assessment. Emphasis will also be placed on learner-centered instruction and diversity. (1.1) SPECIAL NOTE: A minimum 5-hour clinical component is required for this class. Students may be required to complete a background check/fingerprinting process in order to participate in the clinical. Students will be responsible for any fee charged.
