MAS 140 Community Outreach

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MAS 130

Students select from a variety of instructor-supervised community events to perform clothed seated or table massage, completing 16 event hours during the program. Students will learn how to set up and break down physical spaces not designed specifically for therapeutic massage sessions, interact with a variety of populations, perform event intake, and practice short massage sequences. Events may include, but not be limited to, sporting events, college outreach events, and local area agency outreach. (1.2) Proficiency Credit Not Available Pass/No Credit Not Available
