An understanding of modern manufacturing processes and materials is of vital importance to ensure products are designed for economical production. This course provides an understanding of the principles, practices, and materials in manufacturing, what they can or cannot do, how they can be utilized most effectively, and the economics of the various processes and materials. The major divisions of this course include specific attention to each of the main classes of processes and the materials relating to them.
