A study of the basic theories used in electrical control systems. Topics included are: component identification, schematic diagrams, Ohm's Law, Kirchoff's Law, series and parallel circuits, power, magnetism, switches, relays, alternating current fundamentals, transformers, basic motor and generator principles. Introduction to common solid state control devices will be presented. The course includes the use of instruments for making various types of electrical measurements.
