Prerequisite: Consent of Instructor

This course will expose the student to various help desk/field service tasks that will require use of knowledge gained through previous coursework in the degree program along with research into new situations and issues. The tasks will cover a variety of scenarios in system expansion, upgrades, maintenance, preventive maintenance, backup and data recovery, connectivity, and security. Typical problems encountered will involve defective hardware, network problems, application program errors, user errors, local and network data recovery, and virus elimination.
