CIS 253 Security Fundamentals

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in CIS 252 or consent of instructor

This is a network security course in which students will learn to protect computer networks from various vulnerabilities and threats. Students will learn about common threats, system hardening, network and intrusion security tools, access control methods, authentication, encryption, redundancy, disaster response, and organizational security.
