CIS 207 Java Programming
Credit Hours: 4
Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in CIS 105 or CIS 121 or consent of instructor

This course is an introduction to the Java programming language for student who have already learned programming in another computer language. The course will introduce Java programming using Sun146s Java Development Kit, and students will learn to use the basic Java classes and objects, how to use Java146s graphical user interface components, how to create stand alone applications, and how to create applets for deployment over the Internet. Advanced topics, such as various development environments, or application projects such as using Java for programming robots, may vary by section.
