This course introduces students to the knowledge and skills required to demonstrate their proficiency in instructional technology. The course focuses on both knowledge and performance, and includes hands-on technology activities. Course is repeatable four times for total of 12 credits. This introductory computer class is specifically designed for educators, and those entering the education profession. Students will discuss issues relating to computer use in the classroom, and learn how to use productivity tools for classroom management and instruction. This course focuses on both knowledge and performance, and includes hands-on training with the Internet, word processing, database management, spreadsheets, graphic and multimedia presentations.
