ABOUT THE PLAY: In 1998, a young gay man was discovered severely beaten and left to die in an act of hate that shocked the nation. For the people of Laramie, Wyoming, Matthew Shepard's death was deeply personal and it is their voices that we hear in this stunning and impactful theater piece. The Laramie Project is a breathtaking collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
