Foundation Priorities
Scholarships
A major factor in student recruitment and retention, scholarships help lower-income students overcome financial barriers and continue their education at ECC. They also help attract academic achievers with limited means to consider ECC. We need annual and planned gifts of any amount, and have set a goal to increase awards by at least 20 percent each year. Details on options for designating your gift to a particular type of scholarship are available upon request.
Culinary Arts Center Fund
Opened in August 2004, the Culinary Arts Center still needs equipment and furniture to properly outfit the demonstration classroom, cooking stations, Spartan Terrace Restaurant and other areas of the facility. A list is available upon request. Funds are also being sought to pay for student travel, fees and uniforms needed for them to participate in Knowledge Bowl and Austria competitions.
Athletics Fund
The athletics program needs nearly $200,000 for equipment, team uniforms, two indoor pitching mounds and other items. They also need money to cover travel costs for teams participating in regional and national competitions. Details are available upon request.
Health Professions Fund
ECC’s accredited programs in nursing, surgical technology, clinical laboratory technology and dental assisting need support to update and add lab and classroom equipment. Scholarships are also needed.
