Upon completion of the associate degree, students are eligible to
take the NCLEX- RN licensure exam to become a registered professional
nurse (RN). Study in nursing emphasizes individualized instruction
and goes beyond the traditional classroom by utilizing a combination
of learning experiences such as hybrid and online instruction,
simulations, multimedia, small group discussions, and laboratory
practice. This approach places greater responsibility on individual
students for their education and encourages each to develop the
necessary skills for life-long learning.

The nursing program is approved by the Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation and is accredited by the ACEN
(Accreditation Commission For Education in Nursing) 3343 Peachtree

approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
