Spartans' Achievements - 2009-10

Men's Baseball
The Spartans finished in second place in the Region IV standings.

  • Three Spartan players were named to the Region IV All-Region Team.
  • Eight Spartan players were named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference Team.

Men's Basketball 

  • One Spartan player was named to the Region IV All-Region Second Team.
  • Three Spartan players were named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference Team.

Women's Basketball 

  • Two Spartan players were named to the Region IV All-Region Team.
  • Four Spartan players were named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference Team.

Women's Cross Country
The Spartans were Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference champions and finished second in the Region IV standings.

  • Qualified as an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.
  • Hana Sutchar was named the ISCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year. 
  • Two Spartan runners were named to the ISCC All-Conference Team.
  • Coach Matt Hoppensteadt was named the ISCC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Men's Golf

  • Two Spartan golfers were named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference Team.

Men's Soccer

  • Six Spartan players were named to the Region IV All-Region Team.
  • Five Spartan players were named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference Team.

Women's Soccer
The Spartans were the Region IV and Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference champions. They finished in second place in the District D Tournament.

  • Michelle Glaser was named the Region IV #1 Midfielder.
  • Three Spartan players were named to the Region IV All-Region Team.
  • Five Spartan players were named to the ISCC All-Conference Team.
  • Coach Kyle Walter was named the ISCC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year.

Women's Softball

  • Mackenzie Scott was named the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Women's Softball Pitcher of the Year.
  • Two Spartan players were named to the Region IV All-Region Team. 
  • Five Spartan players were named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference Team.

Women's Tennis
The Spartans claimed the championship titles in both Region IV and the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference and were undefeated in the regular season for the second year in a row.

  • Six Spartan players were named to the Region IV All-Region First Team.
  • Five Spartan players were named to the ISCC All-Conference First Team.
  • Coach Clark Hallpike was named the Women's Tennis Coach of the Year for Region IV and the ISCC.

Women's Volleyball

  • One Spartan player was named to the Region IV All-Region First Team.
  • One Spartan player was named to the Illinois Skyway Collegiate All-Conference First Team.
  • Three Spartan players were named to the ISCC All-Tournament Team.
