Diego Gonzalez

Born in Elgin, Illinois, but raised in Mexico, Diego Gonzalez decided to move to the United States at the age of 18 after graduating from high school. Currently in his second year of study at Elgin Community College, he is working toward an Associate in Arts degree. After graduating from ECC, he intends to incorporate his love of travel and networking with people from around the world as he pursues a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in international business.

A strong advocate for involvement, Mr. Gonzalez has been a member of ECC’s College Programming Board, an officer for the Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS), and has helped organize campus events such as Latino Heritage Month and Welcome Weeks.

As student trustee, Mr. Gonzalez seeks to create an environment in which students stay involved on campus and make use of all the resources and services that ECC has to offer. He believes the benefits of creating connections with other students and faculty members can greatly impact students’ lives.
