Art Sauceda, CPA
Art Sauceda is a self-employed Certified Public Accountant specializing in taxes and accounting. Previous to self-employment he was the Director of Internal and Contracts Auditing for 20 years with the Northeast Illinois Railroad Corporation better known as Metra. Prior to that time he served as an audit manager for the Regional Transportation Authority for six years and before that as an Internal Revenue agent auditor, instructor, and manager during a 12 year career with the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Sauceda was elected to ECC's Board of Trustees for a four year term in April 2013. He the current chair of the Board's finance committee.
Mr. Sauceda's service to the community is extensive. It includes the office of past president for Centro De Informacion; the Guadalupano Club of Elgin; and the St. Edward High School Foundation. Other past Board memberships include Finance Committee Chairman, Provena Hospital, Inc.; Treasurer for the Bartlett Learning Center; past Grand Knight for the Elgin Knights of Columbus; and Scholarship chairman for Club Guadalupano of Elgin, Inc. Mr. Sauceda has also served on three private corporation boards.
Mr. Sauceda is a graduate of DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Science degree and major in accounting. He received his certified public accountant distinction from the University of Illinois and is a licensed CPA in Illinois and a registered tax practitioner.
