HUM 204 Introduction to Religious Studies

Prerequisite: Reading: Grade of C or better in RDG 091, an ACT Reading score of 18 or above, or an appropriate placement score. Writing: Grade of C or better in ENG 098, an ACT English score of 20, or an appropriate placement score.+

An introduction to a variety of religious teachings, rituals and customs found in past history and the present world. Examples for study will be drawn from both traditional and modern societies with an emphasis on discovering the nature of religion and the role it has played in cultural history worldwide. (1.1) Fulfills the ECC/IAI General Education/Humanities requirement. IAI Course Number: H5 900 Proficiency Credit Not Available Pass/No Credit Not Available NOTE: This course is offered concurrently as INS 204. The student must decide whether to earn credits in Humanities (HUM) or International Studies (INS) prior to enrolling.
